Tacoma Thrive Business Fund Announced

Exciting news for Black Business Owners.

Comcast in partnership with The Tacoma Pierce County Chamber of Commerce has announced a $20,000 fund for supporting BIPOC businesses.

“The Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber is proud to partner with the City of Tacoma and Comcast to help bring more support to our BIPOC and female business community. The mission of the Thrive Tacoma Business Fund is to provide direct financial support for small BIPOC-owned and women-owned businesses, many of which are still struggling with the impacts of COVID-19. Grants will be awarded to qualified applicants on a lottery basis. 20 grants of $5,000 each will be awarded. Additional financial support will also go to BIPOC-led non-profit trusted community navigators/access organizers to help provide access and assistance to engage and encourage program participants. Recipients will receive direct finance, digital access, and other technical assistance support specifically curated to their unique business challenges, helping promote greater equitable economic development in Tacoma.” Source
