Black-Owned Business Support

Gain Access to Capital | Identify Your Next Steps | Make the business you imagined a reality

Our Mission

To reach, support and sustain black-owned businesses.

The Tacoma Pierce County Black Collective has launched its Business Navigator program in partnership with Sound Outreach.

As the next step for the Pierce County Business Accelerator (PCBA)participants, and support for start-up and existing black-owned businesses, we are here to support you.

Black business owners from around Pierce County can connect with our Business Navigator/Busines Operation Specialist Michael Jordan for FREE one-on-one support, along with references to culturally relevant business support services.

Get help assessing your business’s current situation, identify priorities, and then work on the steps that will help you get to that next step be it increased cash flow, expansion, or exit strategy, we will give you the “compass” you need to reach your destination.

The challenge

The narrative for black-owned businesses is often somewhere along the lines ofBlack people just need to get it together.

When the accurate statement is, ‘holding all other factors constant, one's race is more likely to predict outcomes than other factors on almost every issue.

This is context that must be considered as we offer support and identify what success looks like in future outcomes for black owned businesses.”

We help you navigate through and around challenges on your way to success.
